The OYFL swept five games with Cypress Gardens on Saturday in youth football action in Okeechobee. The Flag team won 26-0, the Mighty Mites prevailed 28-0, the Seniors won 34-0, the Pee Wee won 35-0 and the Juniors prevailed 45-0.
Kayden Warrior had a pair of touchdown runs in the flag game. Emerson Billie had two touchdowns in the Mighty Mites shutout. Robert Futch scored a pair of touchdowns in the senior game. Ramone Baker had a pair of scores in the Pee Wee victory.
IN the senior game, place kicker Jarrett Mills hit four extra points which gave his team 8 points.
He attends kicking camps to improve his kicking skills. He said he felt confident that he could do the job Saturday. Alex Hukriede led an inspired defense as the Brahmans used a number of reserves in the game. Hukriede said Okeechobee was more prepared.
The OYFL will host Orange Park from Orlando for games this Saturday.
The swim teams defeated John Carroll and Fort Pierce on Thursday. April Hogenkamp broke a person record in the 2 hundred individual medleys. Zack Kielbasa won the 100 breast stroke.
