The Okeechobee board of county commissioners met this morning to declare a local state of emergency in response to Hurricane Irma. Okeechobee County Sheriff Noel Stephen asked that alcohol sales stop 12:01am Saturday Morning and that a county-wide curfew be set starting 9pm Saturday evening and remain until further notice. All motions passed and Alcohol sale stoppage the and 9pm Saturday Curfew also reflect City declarations.
