Gilbert Chevrolet celebrated 85 years in business with a public birthday party held at Gilbert Chevrolet November 15th.

The event was attended by ownership, management and employees from the Gilbert Family of companies along members of the community. Entertainment was provided in the form of live music and attendees were treated to an evening of dancing and socializing. Food was also served. A drawing was held at the end of the evening and one attendee won $1,933, signifying the year Gilbert Chevrolet began.

Gilbert Chevrolet was started in 1933 by Hugh Gilbert Culbreth Sr and has been family run for it’s entire existence. Culbreth Sr’s granddaughter Krista Luna is currently the owner-deal for the company.

J.D Mixon, the operations manager for The Gilbert Family of Companies says that commitment to the customer and community is a large factor in Gilbert Chevrolet’s longevity,  “The first question is not the revenue or the bottom line, the question is does this best serve the customer…”
