Healthy Families Program the Focus At Latest Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee Meeting (AUDIO INCLUDED)

Carolyn Moses is the program manager for Healthy Families of Martin and Okeechobee Counties, a division of Helping People Succeed. The program is a child abuse prevention program that has been in Okeechobee since 2007.

Moses spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee about the services provided by Healthy Families which include home visitations and a wide variety of support services designed to help families succeed. Healthy Families offers parenting classes as a way to teach young families how to form a healthy attachment to their newborn babies.

Moses also spoke about other Okeechobee agencies that Healthy Families partner with which include Healthy Start Coalition and Our Village Okeechobee. Moses addressed what challenges Healthy Families encounter and how they measure success and progress toward their mission.
